Once we pick you up at the specified pick up place, at 8am the adventure starts with a 1-1.5 hours drive to El Tuito, where we will stop for a moment. This area is famous for its fresh cheese, known as “Queso Panela”, still hand made by 2 families in town. Very popular in Vallarta, so much that vendors commute daily between El Tuito and Vallarta to satisfy our cheesy needs!
We will have a short walking tour, with some history lessons (the fun way!) and around after that we will continue our journey towards Mayto.
The drive El Tuito-Mayto takes about one hour more.
Once at Mayto, enjoy relax time or walk along the beach, get cool in the water or join us on a visit to the turtle sanctuary where you will learn about this wonderful beings and the projects that exist to enhance their survival.
Some time later, we will head south to the fishing village of Tehuamixtle (a.k.a Tehua), only 15 minutes away, for lunch. We encourage you to try some of the fresh fish dishes, or great oysters. After lunch we will drive back to Vallarta, returning around 6-7pm.
This tour takes place every Friday with a minimum of 6 passengers.
