Terms and Conditions

Insurance
We recommend that all participants obtain a short-term traveler’s insurance policy covering baggage, accident/life and trip cancellation. Trip cancellation insurance reimburses you for nonrefundable air and land costs should you have to cancel the trip due to personal or family illness.
It also covers the cost of emergency evacuation from remote areas.

Medical
Our trips are not rigorous expeditions but some are physically demanding. For most trips spending extended time in remote areas, Superior Tours Vallarta will furnish a first aid kit and attempt to secure, but does not guarantee, the services of a doctor. Superior Tours Vallarta assumes no liability regarding provision of medical care. Members are urged to check their insurance coverage to be sure it is adequate. In general, you must be in good health to participate on one of our tours; it is vital that persons with medical problems make them known to us well before departure.

The trip leader and/or a doctor have the right to disqualify any member from the group at any time if considered medically necessary or to
avoid endangering the group, or if the participant in question is physically unfit for the rigors of the trip. Refunds are not given under such
circumstances. Trip members should have a personal supply of any special medications which they may need. These medicines should be
carried with you at all times. It is understood that Superior Tours Vallarta is not a medical facility and therefore has neither expertise nor
responsibility regarding what medications or inoculations you and your private physician should decide necessary for your safe participation in the tour.

Airfares
In some tours we make a reservation for an air trip for you. In case you make your own reservation, please be aware of the following:. In making your reservations, we urge you to beware of budget airfares, especially domestic tickets in connection with international flights. These tickets are usually nonrefundable, nontransferable and valid only for stated dates. Travel in and to Mexico and Guatemala is subject to delay and schedule changes; if you purchase a highly restrictive ticket, you may find it will not adapt to changes and may be completely worthless. If you buy a nonrefundable ticket or one that carries large cancellation/change penalties, you do so at your own risk. Superior Tours Vallarta is not responsible for the payment of such penalties or the purchase of a new ticket for any reason whatsoever.

Airline Clause
The airlines concerned with the travel on these trips and their agents are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time the passengers are not on board the aircraft. The passenger ticket in use by the airlines when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the passenger of these tickets.

Limitation of Liability
These paragraphs (together with the Release of Liability section) define our responsibility with respect to all our trips. PLEASE READ IT
CAREFULLY.

Trip Members’ Responsibility
Trip members have the responsibility to select a trip appropriate to their abilities and interests. Trip members are held responsible for being in sufficient good health to undertake the trip. Trip members are responsible for preparing for the trip by studying the itinerary and pre-departure information packets sent by Superior Tours Vallarta and for bringing the appropriate clothing and equipment as advised therein.

Reservations
Early reservations are recommended, since group sizes are limited and airlines often sell out of their best fares many months in advance. For immediate confirmation on a trip, you may call our office and deposit the initial $500  to our pay pal account. Each participant must submit a separate signed application prior to departure. Upon receiving your deposit we will send you a confirmation letter, detailed trip itinerary and general information needed to prepare for your trip. Rendezvous instructions, and final trip details will be sent about 2 weeks prior to departure. If payment installments are not paid when due, Superior Tours Vallarta reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled. Additionally, no one will be allowed to depart on a trip unless all payments and necessary documents have been received.

Payment Schedule*
At time of reservation: 50%
60 days prior to departure: Balance
*Prices are quoted in US dollars and all payments must be made in US dollars whether by pay pal or cash.

Pricing
In order to offer the lowest possible price, some of our tours are priced according to the number of full-price passengers on the trip. For
example: Trip Cost: $995 (13-15 members) $1095 (9-12 members)

Exact tour prices are listed in the separate detailed trip itineraries printed for each trip. If you call, we will advise you of the tier structure for a given trip, and send you a copy of the detailed trip itinerary. Prices listed in this brochure and on the website are subject to change since the trip dates and prices have often been published more than a year in advance. Between that time and the time of the trip’s actual departure, we are occasionally faced with exceptional cost increases or currency fluctuations that we cannot absorb. We do everything we can to keep our prices the same as published.

Single Supplements
Accommodations are based on double occupancy. Participants who specifically request single accommodations, subject to availability, pay a single supplement. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations, we will try to match you with a roommate. However, if a roommate is not available, the forced single supplement will be charged which is 50% of the regular single supplement unless otherwise noted in the detailed itinerary.

Cancellations and Refunds
If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your trip, the following fees will apply computed as of the date of receipt of written cancellation notice.

Cancellation Fee Schedule*

*Rates are based on group participation and no partial refunds will be given for unused trip arrangements for any reason whatsoever. Once
you have been confirmed on a trip that requires a medical certificate signed by a doctor, normal cancellation penalties apply if your doctor does not sign the certificate. We highly recommend that all clients purchase trip cancellation insurance.

You may transfer to another trip without penalty by notifying us of your wish to transfer 91 days or more prior to departure. After that time you are subject to the cancellation fees outlined above. This does not apply to trips with nonrefundable deposits.

Cancelled Trips
Superior Tours Vallarta reserves the right to cancel any trip prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient sign up or
logistical problems that may impede trip operations. The refund of all land payments received shall release Superior Tours Vallarta from any further liability. A trip canceled due to insufficient sign up would normally occur a minimum of 3 weeks prior to departure. Superior Tours Vallarta must normally make substantial payments to its suppliers (hotels, transportation companies, etc.) far in advance of the scheduled embarkation date. If a trip is canceled due to force major (acts of God, war, labor strikes, earthquake, flooding, etc.), Superior Tours Vallarta will promptly refund the portion of the trip cost not already advanced to suppliers and use its best efforts to recover and refund the balance as promptly as possible. However, Superior Tours Vallarta does not guarantee recovery of any or all of the advance payments made, and our use of best efforts to recover these payments will not include the institution of any legal proceedings in foreign jurisdictions. Superior Tours Vallarta is not responsible for expenses incurred by trip members in preparing for a cancelled trip (e.g., nonrefundable advance purchase air tickets, visa fees, inoculations, equipment, etc.) or for any additional arrangements should the trip member have embarked prior to the scheduled departure date.
