Explore Puerto Vallarta and learn all about Tequila!

We will pick you up at your hotel or at the cruise ship terminal* and we will head to the “Malecon” in downtown Puerto Vallarta. See the famous Boy and Sea Horse sculpture, the Papantla flyers and stroll the Malecon to the main square of Puerto Vallarta. Visit the iconic Our Lady of Guadalupe church and the Los Arcos open air amphitheater. After that, we will take you the Romantic Zone and will travel southwards. Where ever we can we will make a stop at the viewpoints, such as the other “Los Arcos”; the rock formation which is a famous landmark and a great place for snorkeling. Further south, we will stop in Mismaloya, where the movie “The night of the Iguana” was filmed. After this, we drive back to downtown, where we will visit the “Viva Tequila”  Museum. In other words: Tequila time! A Tequila expert will explain the whole process and of course you can try all the different Tequilas. We take you through  the interactive Tequila museum and there is a lot of time to ask all questions.** Due to opening hours and other reservations and depending on the time of the start of the tour, we might start at the Museum and do the city tour afterwards.

After the tour we will bring you back to your hotel, the cruise ship terminal, or if you prefer, we can drop you off downtown so that you can visit the flea market/Mercado, and shop till you drop..

Cruise ship passengers: Be aware that local time might be different than ship time. Our Time zone is Central Standard Time (CST) and tours start local time. *In case the pick up will be in the harbor if you arrive by  cruise ship, there is a port fee to be paid of 20.00USD, which can  be paid on the day of the tour in cash to our guide.

  • THANK YOU Daniel! You are the most enthusiastic, sincere and humble guide we ever met. Throughout the entire tour you were constantly pointing out different things about the culture, the crops, and the people. We started out by riding the Van to the quaint town where you explained the history and the area. We also got to try fresh tortillas out of the machine. They were so warm, fresh and tasted like a tortilla should taste (not the preservative added crap you get in the grocery store).

  • Dear Astrid,

We had a fantastic time. Your guide was amazing and very kind, even assisting with my sister who is older and has difficulty walking. The service and tour was much more than we expected and thank the two of you for running such a professional and friendly company. We will undoubtedly spread the word about Superior Tours and now know who to call when we return to Puerto Vallarta.
